ATM CAVE
(Actun Tunichil Muknal)

ATM Cave is a world-famous archaeological site with Maya artifacts, pottery, and the sparkling skeletal remains of human sacrifices from 700–900 AD. The fully intact skeletons, preserved by time and science, are a jaw-dropping highlight.

The adventure is as challenging as it is thrilling—you’ll hike to the cave, wade through waist-deep rivers, climb slippery ladders, and navigate dark, narrow passages inside the mountain. One of Belize’s most physically demanding tours, it’s an unforgettable journey into history. ***Warning: This is not a cave for young children, those not physically fit, with knee, hip or ankle problems or with problems with claustrophobia and or heights.

XUNANTUNICH (STONE MAIDEN)
AND Cave Tubing or swim

Enjoy the lush orange groves, banana farms, and sweeping views of the Maya Mountains as you journey along the scenic Hummingbird Highway. Crossing into Western Belize, you’ll traverse the Mopan River on a hand-cranked ferry to reach the ancient Maya site of Xunantunich. Climb to the top of El Castillo for breathtaking vistas of the Cayo District and Petén, Guatemala.

After your climb, savor a delicious lunch at a local restaurant before visiting St. Herman’s Blue Hole National Park. Here, choose between an exhilarating cave-tubing adventure through intricate underground passages or a refreshing swim in the crystal-clear waters of the inland Blue Hole.

Living Maya Experience & Nim Li Punit

Step into a traditional Mayan home in Big Falls Village and experience the Kek’chi Maya way of life and see homes built entirely from natural materials. Learn about their daily traditions and participate in preparing a traditional meal of chicken seasoned with recado, cilantro, and culantro, then savor the flavors you helped create.

After lunch, visit Nim Li Punit, an ancient Maya site renowned for its impressive stelae. The site’s longest monument, the stelae, is carved with a figure wearing a grand headdress, stretching 30 feet—making it the tallest discovered in Belize and one of the largest in the Maya world.

GARIFUNA Cultural & Culinary Adventure

This tour offers an immersive experience in the culture and traditions of the Garifuna people—long celebrated as “the teachers of Belize.” Your hosts, dressed in traditional attire, will share the history, stories, and customs of one of Belize’s most vibrant ethnic groups.

Learn the many uses of the coconut through traditional harvesting, husking, grating, and milk extraction—becoming a coconut expert by the end of the day! Enjoy a delicious Hudut, a coconut-based soup with fresh herbs and the catch of the day, served with pounded plantains and fried fish. Then try your hand at Garifuna drumming, mastering basic parranda and punta rhythms, and finish with a traditional Garifuna dessert.
